An Update on Marblework

I have kept an eye on the marble flooring in each of the churches and buildings we visit. Below, I have included some photos of the more intricate work.

Santa Maria in Trastevere
(Thanks to Mark, for the camera loan!)

Santa Maria della Vittoria

The Vatican Museums

(notice the stars of David, which are from the Raphael Rooms, which is why the photo is blurry--one cannot take photos with flash in those rooms, even of the floors) Some of the rest of the museum's marble work can be seen below (this is not exhaustive--anyone looking for marble would do well to spend time in the museums!)

Ostia Antica

Notice the one with the swastikas! These symbols used have a long history, before the Nazis appropriated and ruined it.
